Superdrug released their own affordable brand of makeup MUA only a couple of years ago now.
One of the first products I bought to try out was this 12 piece eye shadow palette in heaven and earth (number 4)
The palette is made up of 12 beautiful powder based, neutral, earthy shades that compliment all eye and skin colours. The colours are mainly creams and browns which all have a unique style to them whether they be shimmery, matte or slightly duotone. There is a tone to create many different looks ranging from natural to smoky.
At first I was sceptical about how this eye shadow would compare to other more expensive brands. For £4 I wasn't expecting any amazing results considering it would've cost me around double if not more than that for 1 shade of eye shadow from Mac.
Its safe to say I was very pleasantly surprised with this palette!! The colours are all very pigmented to the point that using a primer didn't make a big difference to the shadows. I was also surprised that the shadows are all really easy to blend. I may have found these easier to blend as I have been taught various makeup techniques, but I still think somebody who has no beauty training could easily blend these shadows after getting used to them.
I found that the shadows creased when not using an eye shadow primer, however the shadows lasted hours and looked great for 12+ hours with a primer.
Overall, I love this eye shadow palette and can't wait to go back to buy the other colours!! I now use this on a daily basis and would pick it over some of my more expensive shadows.
