Karrimor - Duma Running Shoes - Review

I have recently joined a new gym and decided that the gym gear I previously owned needed replacing as it was old and had most definitely ran its course.

One of the first things I needed to purchase was a good pair of running trainers/shoes because although my old pair were still in good nick, they weren't very flexible and caused a lot of cramps in my feet and ankles.

I bought these Karrimor Duma running trainers from Sports Direct as a sales advisor had recommended them for a friend and she recommended them after being amazed at how comfortable and supportive they were after trying them out.

This brand state that there is a men's version and a ladies version of this shoe however I don't think there is any difference in the two; they both look identical, offer the same things and cost the same price.

The trainers cost £39.99 but had been reduced from £79.99 which is a huge £40 saving and great for anybody on a budget like myself.

The trainers are laced and come in a range of colours however I felt that the black and white pair looked the most appealing and also wouldn't clash with whatever clothing I decided to wear.
I don't personally feel that this brand makes the most appealing looking trainers compared to the more mainstream brands on the market such as Nike and Adidas.

The sizing of theses trainers I would say is spot on. The sales advisor mentioned that they come a little 'snug' however my friend and I both took our regular shoe size and they fit perfectly.
The fitting of these shoes isn't too tight that its uncomfortable but isn't too loose that they offer no support, in my personal opinion they are pretty much spot on.

The shoes are incredibly lightweight and feels almost as if you aren't wearing shoes at all!! They are also extremely flexible and well cushioned which means no more foot cramps whilst I'm working out, yayyy!!

The materials that these particular trainers are made from is great for letting air in to keep your feet cool. The shoe offers a cushioned ankle collar so ankle blisters are avoided. The sole of the show also provided a great grip on a number of different surfaces including carpet, plastic (on machines), polished flooring, tiles and pavement.

Overall I feel that this brand is definitely underrated. I would happily ditch my uncomfortable Nike Adidas running shoes for a pair of these any day of the week and for £39.99 you really can't go wrong. They not be the most appealing on the market but I would rather work out in comfort than look great down the gym... does anybody look at what shoes you have on anyway??

Final Scores:

Price - 5/5
Appearance - 3/5
Fitting - 5/5
Support - 5/5
Comfort - 5/5
