After running out of my favourite ELF primer and needing a new one asap, I decided to pop down to Boots to have a look at their range.
I decided on this £4.99 Seventeen primer as I didn't want to soend too much and Seventeen hadn't ever failed me in the past... until now.
This primer is great for matting out your skin when first applied, however this matte effect lasts about an hour at the most!! So much for the 22 hours Seventeen claim this product can handle.
The consistency of the primer is quite thick compared to other brands I have used in the past which makes it pretty good (not the best I've experienced) at filling in fine lines and pores however it has to be really worked into your skin else it leaves residue that looks kind of like dried yogurt. It also gets a little tacky towards the edge of the area you're rubbing it into and if it gets anywhere in your hair line it leaves a gloopy residue.
The primer smells quite chemically, almost like PVA glue... come to think of it, it looks like PVA glue as well!!
The primer does help to apply a foundation onto the skin and I personally think foundation sits nicely when using this product, however it doesn't make the foundation last any longer than if you wore it without the primer.
Overall I don't rate this product at all. Miracle Matte?? There is nothing miraculous or matte about this product. I feel like I have wasted £4.99!! Definitely go spend your £4.99 on something else.
