b.liv by Cellnique - Skin care range - Review

A couple of weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to be sent some skin care products to trial and test out for review on the blog... so here it goes!!

The brand of products is b.liv by Cellnique and I was very kindly sent the Off With Those Heads blackheads sebum gel, No Spots Bye Dots blemish cleansing gel and Sensitive Salvation Repair & Rescue face masks.

No Spots Bye Dots;

No Spots Bye Dots is a cleansing gel that treats blemishes and prevents acne breakouts.

The gel comes in a pump bottle which is white but slightly transparent, has a block of a pastel peach colour and clear labelling with a sleek font used which looks really modern, clean and pricey. There is a clip on  the neck of the pump which disables the pump which is great for all you travellers who worry that their liquid products are going to escape in their bags!!

The gel is a clear liquid which I like as it means less chemicals in the form of colourant have been added to the product. The scent of this gel is really clean and fresh, not over powering and slightly floral and fruity. The texture is fairly runny, almost like a liquid hand soap!!

This product costs $28 which is around £14 or €17 (These are estimates. Exchange rates will vary) which is slightly more expensive than I would usually pay for a cleansing gel but I am aware this is a lot cheaper than some high end brands on the market.

How to use;
b.liv recommend that this product is used 2-3 times a day to get the best results. To apply, start by wetting your face, pump a couple of pea size drops onto wet fingertips and apply evenly to your face in circular motions (as if you were washing your face with a regular soap!) and rinse off with water. Easy peasy lemonade!!

This product has helped to control natural oils making my face less shiny, unclogged pores, helped with keeping my acne minimal and has soothed and hydrated my dry skin.

Off With Those Heads;

Off With Those Heads is a gel which removes blackheads without needing to painfully squeeze your skin and also prevents them from returning!!

The gel comes in a pump bottle where the bottom moves up to squeeze the product out from the top rather than a tube to suck the product out of the bottle from the bottom. This bottle again is a white colour but is slightly transparent this time with an orange block of colour around the tube and the same sleek and modern font. The bottle comes with a lid which again is great for carrying around without the need to worry that its going to leak in your bag.
For some unknown reason, this product comes in a cardboard box and a further plastic insert to hold the bottle in place; both unnecessary and puts this product in my bad books on how environmentally friendly it is.

The gel again is clear and gloopy enough to avoid spillages when applying. It smells fresh and clean, not at all overpowering and again slightly floral and fruity. The texture of the gel is again like a liquid hand soap, very smooth and not slimy or oily.

This product is priced at $39 (approximately £19 or €24) for the smaller 15ml bottle or $63 (approximately £30 or €37) for the larger 45ml bottle which is the most cost effective.

How to use;
To apply, just pump a couple of pea sized drops onto your fingertips and apply to your t-zone area and areas with blackheads or are prone to blackheads. Voila!!

This product has helped to remove blackheads and whiteheads by unclogging pores and helped to keep these pesky black/whiteheads under control. It has controlled natural oils to keep my face as shine free as possible and has hydrated my skin!!

Sensitive Salvation Repair & Rescue Face Masks;

These Repair & Rescue face masks are Japanese silk masks which rescue and repair damaged skin cells whilst helping with cell functioning, rejuvenating skin and soothing all irritations and sensitiveness leaving you with soft, smooth, hydrated, healthy skin!!

These face masks come in a box of 10 and are individually wrapped in 28ml sachets which include the silk mask and plenty of product to cover your whole face during the process.

The masks are what I can only describe as a damp kitchen tissue kind of material attached to a plastic material which is removed during application. The masks are really thick but incredibly smooth which makes application really easy, no tears in the mask and no drips of the gel in sight!!

The masks and gel smell again, slightly floral and fruity, isn't at all over powering and not chemically unlike other masks I have used in the past.

How to use;
Tie your hair back to avoid getting product in your hair!! When using the masks, use the No Spots Bye Dots cleansing gel or your usual facial wash before hand so the mask doesn't have to fight through dirt and oils to get down to your skins deepest layers. Apply the mask to your freshly washed face and peel off the plastic backing. Leave on for 20-30 minutes. You can use the remaining gel within the sachet on top of the mask to keep it hydrated, on your neck area and any areas not covered by the mask and  or use once the mask has been removed, use on your face for a few extra minutes. Rinse all remaining product from your skin.

The box of 10 face masks costs $25 (approximately £12 or €15) which is about £1.20 or €1.50 per mask which is a very reasonable price for a face mask similar to this on the market.

These masks are soothing and anti-inflammatory so have calmed irritation and redness areas. They have helped to heal dry skin on my face and help to keep these dry areas hydrated. My complexion looks so much clearer and brighter after using these masks.

I have been using these products routinely for the past 2 weeks now, here's my routine;

Morning routine;
Cleanse  whole face with No Spots Bye Dots.
Apply Off With Those Heads on t-zone and blackhead prone areas.
Apply mousturiser/sunblock.
Apply makeup.

Evening routine;
Remove all makeup.
Cleanse whole face with No Spots Bye Dots.
2 times a week, use one Repair & Rescue face mask.
Apply Off With Their Heads on t-zone area and blackhead prone areas.
Apply moisturiser.

Overall I am really impressed by these products. All 3 products are a fairly reasonable price but since trialling and testing these products, I would definitely pay the extra few £££'s to get the results.

From day 1, my skin felt a lot cleaner and clearer and this helped to up my confidence in public. Over the first week I noticed my acne breakouts were decreasing in area and weren't becoming as red and inflamed as they had been a few weeks prior.
The products have done wonders for my greasy/oily skin. I'm still having to use primers under my makeup to keep the shine away, but the over all oil levels on my face is considerably lower.

2 weeks on and I can safely say my confidence has been boosted massively. My facial skin has never looked so good.

I can't really fault anything with these products so I won't score them in my usual manor. The only thing I will comment on, is that I was a little disappointed in the unnecessary box and plastic insert that the Off With Those Heads came in; other than that, I have no complaints!!
