My favourite products of 2014!!

2014 has been a fantastic year for newly purchased products. Here are a few of my favourite products that I have purchased for the first time during 2014.

Makeup:

My most used and bought product of 2014 is the Maxfacor Face Finity foundation. I found this at the start of the year and it encouraged me to throw any other foundation aside...or in the bin!! Its light which lets the skin breathe, buildable, it contains a primer and concealer which means less expense on other products. Its also a highstreet brand which is definitely affordable.

Lemon Aid eye primer by Benefit has kept my eye makeup on point for 2014. Its slightly more expensive than a highstreet brand and as its higher end I did have to go find a Benefit stockist but its definitely worth the extra £££ as it lasts years!!

My Mac Mineralise Skin Finish in the shade Soft & Gentle was one of my best beauty buys of 2014. I've found it hard to match highlight powder products to my very pale skin tone. This product is buildable, not too shimmery and leaves a natural looking sheen to your skin.

The Urban Decay Naked 3 palette is the first Naked palette I've owned and I purchased it in 2014!! Although I'm not the biggest fan of some of the shadows and the brush, (or the price tag!) the colours are all gorgeous and very wearable.

2014 was the year Younique brought us the 3D Fibre Lash Mascara. I got to test this product as a review piece and loved it. It needs slight tweaks but is great for those days that falsies are too much effort!! Click here to see my review.

Nails:

You should all know by now that I am the biggest nail varnish addict to ever exist!! 2014 has brought new colours and products into the shops. These are my ultimate faves this year!!
Models Own brought out so many new editions this year!! My favourite was definitely the Polish for Tans collection. So fab for the summer!!

My second favourite of the Models Own varnish collections released this year is the Diamond Luxe range. So many colours that can be worn all year round and I love the gold tops. I just need to finish the collection now!!

Hair:

2014 was a year for numerous hair colours. I started with black, moved on to orange with blonde ombre tips, followed by green and currently a chocolate brown colour. All this changing has taken its toll on my once silky soft hair. These are some of my favourite hair products of the year.

Biotin supplement tablets. I bought these from Holland and Barrett and have been taking them daily for about 4 months now. My hair is thicker, stronger and healthier than it has been in years!! (New hair growth).

The L'Oréal range of shampoos and conditioners have literally saved my hair from falling out completely. I use different collections depending on how my hair is feeling when its due for a wash. My favourite of the Elvive collections is the Nourishing Oils collection as it drenches my hair with moisture and shine.

Leave in conditioner has been key for my damaged hair. This  Herbal Essences Bee Strong leave in conditioner has made combing super easy and leaves my hair super soft and silky.

Treseme 7 Day Keratin Straight is the one product I have found that keeps my hair straighter for longer!! Works wonders for us girls with curly/frizzy hair and less heat throughout the week does hair so much good!!

La Riche Directions dyes!! I swear by these semi permanent dyes for bold, bright beautiful hair. This year I have tried Alpine Green, Turquoise and Mandarin (click colours to see my reviews!!). Super vibrant, affordable and leaves hair feeling amazing!!

GHD Sunset straightening iron. I bought these on "Black Friday" and got myself a real bargain. I love my old GHDs butvthe colour of these means they win the battle everytime. They're not as hot as the old GHDs but just as effective and less heat = less damage.

The Tangle Teezer is a product that seemed to take over Instagram this year and I couldn't help but go purchase one for myself. I'm not sure how I lived without it!! Great for long, cot prone hair especially with extensions!!

Accessories:

This year I don't feel that I've splurged half as much as I would usually on accessories. Here's a few bits and bobs that I have rocked in 2014!!

My most used bag of 2014 is my green shoulder bag from NewLook. I originally bought this bag to match a colour on a playsuit I was planning on wearing for a night out but later on in the year, it inspired me to dye my hair the same shade. I love it!! It adds a lovely pop of colour to darker, muted outfits in the winter and is gorgeous with your brights and whites in the summer.

My most loved accessory of 2014 has been my over sized cream handbag from H&M. Its gorgeous, glam and sassy. Over sized is not an understatement; I can fit all of my daily essentials in this bag and my laptop with a tonne of room to spare.
Late 2014 I was kindly sent these accessories from Collar Affair. They're super affordable, super glam and they're perfect for dressing up any outfit.

Others:

Music wise, 2014 has been a good year for my music taste. I went out and bought Ella Henderson's Chapter One, Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence and Coldplay's Ghost Stories on their release dates. I could listen to these albums on repeat for the rest of my life!!

Films have always been a love of mine, and 2014 did not disappoint on DVD releases. My favourite films/DVDs of 2014 have been Gravity, of course Frozen, The Fault in our Stars and Maleficent. I have lost count of how many times I have watched these films since I purchased them on DVD...especially Frozen!!
