Mica Beauty Face & Body Bronzer - Sunlight:

The first product I set my eyes on when opening this months Wantable box was this lovely Face and Body Bronzer by Mica Beauty. If you have read my January post you will know that I received a Bronzer that I absolutely love so I was excited to see if this melted my heart just as much.

The bronzer itself comes in a black box and for those of you who have read any of my previous Wantable posts, you'll know I hate useless packaging. However I am aware that packaging is being used to make the product appear visually to be more expensive and professional: this box definitely does that job with its sleek minimal look.

The Bronzer itself comes in a circular case/pot. To open the pot there is a push mechanism which means its less likely to open itself whilst in your makeup/hand bag and ruin itself and your bag at the same time!!

Inside the case/pot is a great sized mirror which I love as I can carry this around as a compact. There is a hinged clear lid to the bronzer to keep it neat and in place and this lid is a holder for a small pad applicator.

The bronzer itself is a much darker shade than my natural very pale colouring which is a bit of a disappointment. I have however managed to wear this very sparingly as a blush as it has a lovely peach/rose tone to it. The Bronzer is very shimmery which I'm not the biggest fan of as I feel it can look too dramatic for daytime looks.
It is super easy to blend into the skin and buildable as a little goes a very long way.

You get 9g of product which is a great amount. This should last you a very long time if you're using it just for adding a bit of depth and colour to your face but if you're using it on your body it probably won't last much longer than a few months.

This Bronzer is perfect for those who are of a darker complexion or those who use tan. It would be perfect for adding shimmer to your face and body on nights out!!

The retail price of this Bronzer is $45 which is approximately £30 or €38. Would I pay this to replace this product? Its not a definite no, but not a definite yes. If I were to purchase this product again, I would choose a much lighter shade to make application easier.

Au Naturale Powder Eyeshadow - Moon Flower:

I seem to get an Eyeshadow in every Wantable box which I love however this one hasn't rocked my beauty box!!

Firstly it came in a pretty bad shape. The lid had come off and the sticker inside the pot had come loose which meant there was a lot of product everywhere!!

Which leads me nicely onto packaging. The shadow comes in a small pot (1g) which isn't anything out of the ordinary, its very plain and doesn't look like a 'premium' product. The pot comes in a little box which has a monochrome feel to it. The box does look very professional and sleek however you should know by now that I really don't like unnecessary packaging. Due to the condition of this product when it arrived, this box saved a lot of product from getting completely out of control.

The colour of this product is described as Purple however I disagree. Its very much a Grey/Silvery colour with Lilac undertones. I do like the colour but it looks a bit wishy washy. Its also nothing out of the ordinary; its a colour that is quite readily available on the highstreet at a much cheaper price.

The shadow itself is fairly shimmery but not too over the top like some shimmer shadows and can be worn easily in the daytime unlike glitter shadows. It's super pigmented and really easy to blend however the colour is one that needs building up because its a light shade. It can be used wet or dry and I personally recommend using it wet to get the true colour to show.

I found that this shadow did fade throughout the day even with my high end eyeshadow primers however it didn't crease at all which is a definite plus side.

The retail price for this Eyeshadow is $15 which is approximately £10 or €13 which is a reasonable price for a premium product. Would I pay this for another pot?? No. I didn't feel that this shadow was as good as products I have bought off the highstreet for less than half of the price. The colour of this product is also nothing special which would definitely put me off spending this amount of money on a single shadow.

Frankie Rose Cosmetics Lush lengthening Mascara - Blue:

I am a HUGE fan of coloured mascaras and when I realised this one was blue, I almost cried with excitement!! I remember wearing coloured mascaras back in the 90s when it was all the range and blue was always my favourite as a youngster. Now I'm much older and have a greater understanding of makeup and beauty, I feel that blue doesn't really accentuate my green eyes. Never the less, I still love it and its definitely one of my favourite products received from Wantable!!

Packaging is a love hate with this product. The mascara comes in a black snakeskin textured box which I love!! Its so pretty, photogenic and sleek but once again its unnecessary as the tube of mascara comes in a plastic wrap type packaging as well.

The mascara itself is amazing!! The applicator is a thin bristle wand which I find separates my lashes better than the plastic comb like wands. It is a bright vivid blue colour that shows up on the lashes without needing a white primer coat. It lengthens your lashes really well, isn't clumpy and doesn't flake off throughout the day.

This is a full size mascara (10ml) which I personally love, however if you're not a fan of coloured mascara for regular daily use, you'll probably find that you'll have to throw it out before you can make the most of it.

The mascara comes off very easily when removing. I've found that makeup wipes will do the job efficiently and no eye makeup remover is needed.

This Mascara retails at $20 which is approximately £13 or €17 which is a really good price for a premium brand Mascara as I would expect to pay around this mark for a highstreet branded Mascara. Would I pay this to replace this product?? Yes, without a doubt!! I have loved wearing this product.

Eddie Funkhouser Luxlight Illuminator - Candlelight:

Highlighting and contouring has really taken off in the last year or so (thank you Kim K!!) so illuminators are key to achieving this look.

The packaging for this Eddie Funkhouser Luxlight Illuminator wins top place for this months Wantable box as its just a plastic wrapping to keep the lid in place. I don't feel that this cheapens the look of the product either as the packaging of the illuminator itself is very professional looking.

Inside the cap/lid is a long bristled brush applicator which makes it great for precision that you might not achieve with a powder illuminator/highlight and a powder brush. Its super soft so it doesn't irritate the skin around your eye area.

To apply the product to the brush, the product has a twist bottom which pushes the product up the tube and out of the bristles. A few clicks will provide enough product to illuminate under one eye and onto the cheek bones.

The product is so easy to apply. Its blendable and buildable which I love as it makes my makeup routine quicker and hassle free.

The illuminator doesn't feel cakey or heavy on the skin and lets the skin breathe. Its slightly shimmery which creates the illumination effect; definitely not unnatural looking. I do feel that this shade is slightly too close to my skin tone as I'm very pale so I don't feel that I get the best of highlights from it however in the right lighting the shimmer does pick up where I have highlighted. It would be perfect for almost any skin tone providing your not as pale as I am!!

Its brilliant for brightening the under eye area and also the forehead, nose and cheek bones.

This product retails at $11.99 which is approximately £8 or €10 which again is a brilliant price for a premium product as I would be expecting to pay around this mark, if not more for a highstreet branded Illuminator. Would I pay this price to replace this Illuminator?? Yes!! Although its possibly a little too close to my natural skin tone, it did give me a beautiful natural highlight without being too shimmery and false looking.
