For a few years now I have wanted to try a lash lift for my holiday. Ive never gotten round to sourcing out a professional in my area who can do home visits (anxiety problems!) so I decided to search around on the web for one I could do myself at home (or a friend to do it on me).
I stumbled upon Eye Galore on Instagram and as far as I could tell, they supplied high end lash lift kits that didn't need a professional to carry out the process.
The kit itself cost US$150 (£96 July 2017) and I added the brow tools for $10. I'd managed to get 30% of my order total discounted which I thought was a total bargain for a high end, well made product.
After placing my order, I got an order confirmation email within minutes and then nothing. I emailed as I was concerned that I hadn't received a dispatch email or any other form of dispatch notification; however I got no response.
Fortunately my parcel was delivered in just 7 days after purchase. As the items are coming from the Denmark, delivery can take up to 25 days to reach the UK.
On receiving my items, I did the usual check of the contents and the box they were in. I was surprised to find that this lash kit wasn't an Eye Galore branded kit, it was a completely different name.
I was also alarmed to see that the website states a lash lift using this product will last 6-8 weeks but the instruction guide and outer packaging states 3-4 weeks.
The website also says that it is for people who have had no official training in lash lifts...the box again says different. This product is for "professional use only". Bare in mind that this product can BLIND you, I feel this is extremely reckless of Eye Galore to supply people without training to use of this product.

I decided to go with it and try it out. I can now safely say that I am extremely disappointed in this product.
Firstly, the instructions are very minimal, no real indication as to what the different tubs of cream's purpose is. You are directed from the Eye Galore website to a YouTube instruction video which as far as I can tell is not theirs and they haven't uploaded it. This instructional video is of as little use as the instruction card; there is no verbal instructions or written instructions, just a video of somebody undergoing the process.
The silicone moulds that are the base for sculpting your lashes over are far too big for adult eyelids and also are so thick that they revert back to original shape (which unlike the human eyelid, is very rounded).
The "fixing gel" is so poor that the badly fitting moulds don't stick to the eyelid for longer than a couple of seconds... and these are supposed to be stuck on for just under an hour!!
I can't comment on the other tubes of unidentified creams as I simply couldn't get that far.
I decided I was going to request for my money back seeing as I spent almost £100 on something that was defective and not fit for purpose.
Thankfully I paid through PayPal as Eye Galore do not seem to answer any of their (ever changing) emails or social media messages. Eye Galore offered me a partial refund of 50% via Paypal as "the product has been opened and used". Obviously I rejected this offer and escalated the matter to the claims team over at PayPal (I will keep you updated on whether I get my money back or not).
My overall experience with this product is very negative. If all the parts and creams were up to scratch I wouldn't have minded paying almost £100 for this product however they're not.
I would recommend you all to stay well clear of this company unless you have money to throw away or enjoy your time trying to claim your money back for what is a defective product.
Update: I managed to claim my money back for this product through PayPal. I had to send the kit back to Eye Galore in Denmark as tracked delivery which cost me £8.50 however i was willing to pay that to have my £100 refunded.

Wow, Great post, I like it. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAmazing post! Thanks for sharing the reviews. I also use a lash lift kit. My kit is of the Dollys Lash brand. This kit is also easy to use and no extra care required which I found the best thing about the lash lift kit. Important factors about Eyelash perming
