Models own have not long released these beautiful sparkly glitter nail varnishes to our high street stores. You need to hurry up and grab'em though because the word is that they are limited addition and will be discontinued fairly soon.
These varnishes retail at £5 each however some stores do offers on models own almost all the time. I personally picked these up at boots when the offer was buy 1 get 1 half price!
The varnishes come in 14ml bottles which have colourful mirror effect lids.
This collection is made up of 5 colours:
Hot Stuff (Pink) -Is made up of mainly hot and baby pink glitter pieces but contains, some silver and some smaller pieces of gold glitter.
Disco Inferno (Gold) - Is made up of mostly gold glitter pieces and contains tiny pieces of green glitter that gives this varnish a Christmassy feel.
Freak Out (Blue) - This varnish is made up of mainly sky and navy blue glitter pieces, but also contains tiny bits of pink glitter as well.
Boogie Nights (Purple) - Is made up of lilac, purple and pink glitter with pieces of much smaller navy glitter.
Dancing Queen (Green) - Is made up of mostly green glitter but also has sky and navy blue pieces of glitter and small pieces of gold glitter.
All varnishes are made up of unique shaped glitter from the usual circular shapes to strips. squares and diamonds. The size of the glitter also ranges in each varnish giving them all a slightly different look.
I have only ever used these varnishes over already painted nails, as I couldn't get a good enough, even coverage when using the varnishes on their own.
When I first used the varnishes, I found that the liquid holding the glitter was far too runny and therefore I couldn't pick up enough glitter. However each time I use the varnishes, they seem to get thicker. I'm only hoping now that they don't dry out too quickly!!
I have always had to use at least 3 coats of the glitter to get a good enough coverage.
I've found that the varnish is easy to apply so that the glitter lays flat on the nail. However I've noticed that after 2/3 days, the glitter starts to lift and starts to catch on clothing and other materials.
Although this varnish would last around a week, I could never bear to have it on my nails more than 3/4 days.
Overall, I love these varnishes!! They look great with all nail colours, last a decent amount of time, are reasonably easy to apply and are fairly cheap.
