The day after I pierced my nose (yes I did it myself) I figured I needed some proper nose studs rather than a teeny earring.
As it was a new piercing, I needed the stud to be either silver or gold, I needed it to come from a near by store as I couldn't wait for anything to be delivered from the internet and I didn't want to spend a huge amount of money on it. So Argos it was.
I found these 3 nose jewels in the catalogue for £7.99 and thought that was a really goo price for 3 pieces - I have seen other studs in piercing shops in town for more than that for 1!!
As Argos hold a no returns unless faulty on all piercing jewellery, I had a quick look at the studs in store at the jewellery counter - My first thoughts were "the ring looks tiny" but the studs from what I could guess would do just fine.
When I had let the swelling from the piercing settle down, I decided I wanted the ball stud in my nose. As I was pushing the stud through, the wire bent!! Okay so I was struggling slightly to get the stud in, but I wasn't applying enough pressure to bend a decent metal material to the point it ruined it.
As I had no other choice, I decided to try to insert the stud with the crystal on it. This one was much easier to push through. Once this stud was inserted, I decided that the rod that the stud is on could be a bit longer as it only just fit through - if the skin of the piercing were any thicker, the stud would be pulled into the skin.
I had only worn this stud a matter of days before I started finding it on my pillow in the mornings after it had fallen out. It then wasn't a great deal longer (2 weeks at the most) that the crystal fell off.
I am not going to replace these studs with other Argos jewellery as I feel I have wasted my money. I would rather spend the £7.99 on one decent stud from somewhere else.
I would advise not to buy these studs. They are far too small and do not last anywhere near as long as they should.
Final Scores:
Price: 5/5
Appearance: 4/5
Fit: 2/5
