I have been using ELF products for a number of years now. I have found some of their products to be mediocre and some well worth spending a couple of quid on.
One of the ELF products I have been most pleased with over the past few years is their range of nail varnishes/polishes. There are a variety of different colours and finishes including, pastel, glitter, matte and metallic.
When I first started using ELF products, the varnishes were just £1.50 however they have now increased the prices on all products and these varnishes are now £2.50. These varnishes are well worth the £2.50 in my opinion!
I have got or have tried almost every colour of these varnishes and have been impressed with ever single one. The varnishes are extremely easy to apply and usually only take a couple of coats (depending on the colour - Various pigment count) to get a block colour on the nail.
The drying time on these varnishes is no longer than your average varnish from most other brands. I would advise to leave the varnish to dry completely before adding another coat as with all varnishes this helps the drying process and avoids smudges.
I have found that the varnishes last a good 4-5 days when on and this is with them being put in water for a fair amount of time, and being open to knocks and bashes.
One thing that I am a little upset with is that the bottle lids sometimes break off from the brush after the varnish starts to get clogged up at the opening of the bottle. I have resorted to gluing the lids back on with super glue as I cant stand painting my nails without them - the varnishes/brushes are still useable without the lids.
Final Scores:
Price - 5/5
Appearance - 5/5
Handling - 5/5
Sustainability - 5/5
Drying time - 3/5
