I'm not one for spending a fortune on decorating and shopped around for a few essentials.
As I was in Wilko's I decided to look at their bedding range. I decided I would spend a little extra on a valance as I was in the shop and it would save me traveling to another to buy a slightly cheaper valance. This navy valance was £11, which I wouldn't say was a fortune but considering you could buy an almost identical one from Dunelm for £3, its quite expensive.
Despite how much it cost, I am very disappointed in it. My first disappointment was when opening and unravelling the valance I found it was extremely creased due to poor packaging - which meant I had to iron it (and there's nothing I hate more than ironing!) The second part of my disappointment in this item was that it is far too big for my bed!! I bought this valance in a double (because that's what my bed is!!) and found that its a couple of inches too big on both width and length.
The only up sides I could find with this valance is that it is made out of a good quality material and the colour is a lovely rich navy.
