Echo Falls - Fruit Fusion Wine Collection - Review

I'm not normally a big wine drinker as I'm not the biggest fan of the overall taste of it and being the lightweight that I am, the higher than alchopop alcohol percentages means I'm all over the place after 2 glasses!!

I'd seen Echo Fall's new summer range of wines on an ASDA TV advert and also in a magazine that comes with the Sunday newspaper that my stepfather reads and couldn't resist buying all 3 on my trip to my local ASDA as they were just £4 each (75cl) and I felt light summery wine would be more socially acceptable to drink on a work night and a more refreshing drink to enjoy in this heat wave we're currently having.

These bottles are very much aimed at the female population and I would definitely say that the target market would be the 18 - 30 year old audience.

All 3 bottles are a standard wine bottle shape, made of clear glass and have a screw cap rather than a cork which means its easy peasy lemon squeezy to reseal the bottle and store until the next time you need a tipple, keeps the wine as fresh as possible and also means you won't be rummaging around in all your kitchen draws looking for a cork screw!!
The bottles are finished off with stickers with logos, information and fruity imagery, finished off with gold bordering. Very swanky looking for a £4 bottle!!
The caps are really cute!! They are all white and each have have a fruity pattern printed on them that correlate to the flavour of fruit fusion within the bottle.

Cute right!?

The range comes in white, rosé and red wine each with their own yummy fruit fusion flavour added to them using natural fruit extracts.

The white wine is infused with white peach and mango. As expected, this is a beautiful, light, refreshing wine and the alcohol content isn't too high for us lightweights at 9.5%vol. This wine smells amazing!! Very peachy!! It definitely has a peach and mango flavour to it and its far from too much. Love!!

The rosé wine has a gorgeous infusion of summer berries. Rosé is usually my choice of wine if wine is the only option or its the more appropriate drink at the occasion. Again the content is 9.5%vol so it doesn't catch up with you too quickly. Again the wine tastes like rosé but the berry fusion is definitely detectable. Lovely lovely lovely!!

Finally, the red wine is infused with raspberry and cassis. I've never really drank red wine as the richness of it isn't my cuppa (wine not tea!) and I feel its a lot less refreshing from white/rosé, but this wine is one to possibly convert me to a red lover!! This is the strongest of the collection alcohol content wise with its 11%vol however this is a closer %vol for the average wine of a similar price range on the market. Its a very warm red and the raspberry definitely makes itself known. Bottle = empty.

These beautiful bottles of loveliness are only available at ASDA stores for now but will be available nationwide in other stores as of October 1st 2014 and I would definitely recommend a trip down to your local ASDA to pick up at least one of these!!

Have I been converted to a winey?? In this case yes, however I don't think I'll ever be a massive fan of regular wine. I will definitely be drinking these fruit fusion wines at every given opportunity from now on!!

A girls night is definitely on the cards and the only alcohol allowed are these wines. Who's in??

I'm not going to do my 'final score' part on these wines. They'd all be a 10/5!! Can't fault them. Affordable, attractive and yummy!! Buy buy buy!!

Comments

  1. Someone has just bought us the white one and the red one. I haven't tried the white but can truly say as a red wine lover that the red one is truly atrocious. My wife says the white isn't much better, though she might finish the bottle. Horrible.
