Wantable Box - November - What I recieved

I have been so excited to receive my November Wantable Box and it finally arrived earlier last week.

I pay for the subscription of these boxes, which means I pay around $50 or approximately £28-30 for a box every month which contains 4 or 5 premium products which are usually only available in the US.

If you would like to receive a Wantable Box click here. You can also head over to the website using this link to go through the questionnaires for fun in your spare time!!

If you've read my October Wantable post you'll know that I loved everything I received however this month I was slightly unsatisfied with what I got.

I'm going to go through what was inside my box and write a mini review of each product.

yourMinerals Mineral Eyeshadow - Glistening Plum:

I'm not the biggest wearer of eyeshadow and I seem to stick to golds and nudes...even for nights out!! I felt this eyeshadow looked fairly daunting in its pot, however its isn't so daunting when its applied. Its nowhere near as pigmented as I'd hoped; I feel like I'm using a lot of product to get the depth of the colour. None the less, its super easy to blend, it has a nice shimmer to it and the colour although I wouldn't call it plum, is really nice. This shadow isn't so great for those long days; it creases so easily...even with my trusty Lemon Aid eyeshadow primer.

The pot is a decent size for a mineral eyeshadow however there isn't anything stopping the shadow from spilling inside the pot which leads to eyeshadow everywhere. It would score higher in my opinion if it had a twistable insert to dispense the shadow gradually when needed.

As I have green eyes this colour really makes them pop as it contrasts with the green which I love!! As I said above i'm not sure i'd describe it as a plum colour. Its a fairly dark grey/brown toned deep purple...I would describe plum as a purple colour with red undertones.

This eyeshadow retails at $22 which is approximately £14 which I feel is very expensive for a single eyeshadow considering I can get a palette on the high street for this price. It is also far too expensive for a product that creases, isn't very pigmented and the pot isn't designed well. Will I be repurchasing when I finish it?? I'm afraid not.

Liberty Republic Nail Varnish - Medallion:

Most of you guys know that I am a nail varnish addict with my 300+ collection so I was excited that I'd been sent another to add to my stash!!

I received a Liberty Republic varnish in my October box and absolutely loved it. I love this one, but not as much due to the colour being fairly common. It is a  silvery bronze colour with silver shimmer. Its lovely, but its too similar to a lot of varnishes I already own (the best dupe for this is Models Own - Champagne).

Liberty Republic varnishes are chip resistant and last around 2 weeks. This one has lasted me a good 4 days with no signs of chipping and I was extremely impressed with the other varnish I received in my October box for the same reason.

It dried super quick and 2 coats is definitely enough!!

The varnish retails at $14 which is around £9 which is a great price for a product of this quality. Am I going to buy another once this is gone?? Probably not as there are a lot of similar colours on the high street and I change my varnish every 2-3 days!!

Ofra Cheeky Cheek Bone Enhancer:

The morning I received this box, I was thinking about going out to purchase a highlighter as I was getting sick of using a pearlescent cream coloured eyeshadow to highlight my cheekbones. Its like Wantable read my mind!! Naturally I was thrilled to find a lovely little cheek highlighter in my box.

I have a love hate relationship with this highlighter.

I love the little pot it comes in; it has a lid inside which keeps the product from flying about everywhere. Its super pigmented and a little goes a long, long way and its incredibly easy to blend.

The colour however isn't so great. In the pot, it looks white and at first I thought it might be a bit too false looking on the skin. Once its applied, the highlighter has a pink/purple undertone which I feel looks pretty ridiculous on my yellow undertoned skin. I feel the colouring would only suit a pink skin tone or people who wear pink blushers.

The shimmer of the highlighter is lovely. It really brings out your cheek bones but doesn't look too glitter like and tacky.

On my Wantable product list, this highlight has a brush shown with it. It doesn't come with one and finding a brush in a suitable size and shape proved tricky. I'd love for it to come with a brush but its a great product even without it.

This highlighter retails at $14.99 which is around £9 which is a great price for this product. Would I buy this?? If the colouring was changed to suit my skin tone, yes.

Surratt Pointilliste Mascara - Noir:

This is probably the biggest disappointment in my box... infact I think that if I received something else in place of this, I would be much happier with my box.

When I saw on my product list that I had a new mascara I was super excited as I needed a new one... and then I saw the size of it. The mascara is a measly 1.8g. Seriously? I've had bigger sample mascaras!!

So this mascara is designed for lower and corner lashes but can be used on your top lashes...if you swap the brush for a bigger brush providing you have one!!

Applying it to bottom lashes is really easy and the miniature wand does make it easier to get into the corners. Don't get me wrong, its a nice consistency and it doesn't clump up but its far from the best mascara I've ever used!!

Due to the size of this mascara, its not going to last much longer than a few weeks if you use it for your upper lashes as well as bottom lashes.

This mascara retails at $26 which is around £16.50 which is an absurd amount of money to spend on a product this small. Would I spend this much to replace it once I've used it all up?? Most definitely not.

Did you get a Wantable box this month?? Let me know what you got and what you thought of these products if they were included in yours!!
