This Months Favourites - January

2015 has prompted me to start some new posts which aren't directly review based!!

This post is going to be a bit of a tester for this new 'series'. I have chosen a very small selection of products for this month, however expect more products on each monthly post. I will try to pick a selection of different products i.e. Hair, Makeup, Entertainment. Here are my January favourites!!

Mac Mineralise Skin Finish Soft & Gentle - £23
I was bought this skin finish for Christmas and it has completely wiped out any other highlight I have ever used. I am very pale skinned and have a yellow undertone so finding highlights that don't wash me out and appear too OTT in the shimmer department is tricky. This one however is perfect!! It leaves a subtle sheen to your cheekbones and highlighted areas without looking like you're caked in makeup!! Yes it is quite expensive but I cant express how far a little bit of this product goes; it will last for years!!

Maybelline Coloursens Nude Lipstick | Sultry Sand - £6.99
I saw this lipstick in a magazine that is included in my Stepdad's Sunday newspaper and felt this huge need to go purchase one for myself. Anybody who knows me will know that I am obsessed with Nude lipsticks and am always on the hunt for new nudies. The trouble with a lot of nudes is that they aren't very pigmented and wear off easily. This lippy is an exception to that rule. Its super pigmented however not quite as pigmented as the Mac lippies that are known to be incredibly pigmented and it does fade after a fair few hours. I wouldn't say it was the quality of a Mac lippy but colour wise it is a dupe for Mac's Fleshpot...my fave!!

L'Oréal Elvive Extraordinaryoil - £9.99
Oh my jheeze this stuff is like liquid gold for my hair. Before I started using this oil, my hair was so dry and looked singed due to over bleaching a few months ago. Since using this, my hair feels, hydrated, healthier, thicker and stronger. Its reasonably priced considering something of this quality from a high end brand name would cost you double or more!!

Yankee Candle | Garden Sweet Pea - £19.99
I received this large jar Yankee for Christmas and I literally cant get enough of it!! Usually I go for quite neutral scents but this one has converted me. Its sweet and floral, the colour of the candle is a gorgeous, deep lilac and its such a relaxing scent. Love!!

I Was Here | Gayle Forman - £7.99
I was sent this book a couple of weeks ago and I was hooked from page 1!! I have read 4 books this January and this has been the one I have fallen in love with. Read my full review of this book here.
