Wunderbrow - Review

I'm sure you've all seen the adverts for Wunderbrow taking up your Facebook and instagram feeds by now.
Being makeup obsessed and having difficulty with my thin, fair eyebrows, I decided I'd check this product out.

First things first, this product retails at £19.95, I picked mine up from Boots however you can get them online from the Wunderbrow website. It is available in 4 shades; Blonde, Brunette, Auburn and Brown/Black. I opted for Brunette as I like my brows dark but not black and I couldn't take the risk!!

In your dinky box, you receive the Wunderbrow itself, a spoolie brush and your instructions.

The Wunderbrow product comes in a large Lipgloss sort of bottle.
The spoolie looks and feels really cheap. I expected better considering how much this product costs!!

Applying the Wunderbrow is quick and easy...with practice. I have been drawing my brows on for 8+ years without stencils and I struggled with the application brush that is within the Wunderbrow bottle itself.
I've noticed a lot of people complaining that this brush is too thin however I found the opposite problem with it being too thick to create defined lines and sharp points on my outer brow. A top tip is to squeeze the applicator brush through your thumb and index finger to flatten the brush; this way you get a thinner/sharper application. I find using an angled eyeliner brush does the job perfectly and leaves little waste.
Once your Wunderbrow is applied, you need to brush through your brows with the spoolie to soften the edges and blend the inner brow. This step also takes some practice. You need to work quickly to avoid the product drying before you've softened the brows creating a more natural look.
Removal of this product is easy peasy so don't worry about having dodgy brows for days if you slip up. Simply remove the product with an oil based makeup remover or cleanser.

Once the product is in place, I barely thought about it being there. It's lightweight and doesn't restrict natural facial movements. It is a strange texture to feel...almost waxy.

My brows looked far more natural than using my usual brow gel however I think this is mainly due to the colouring being a better match for my hair colour and skin tone rather than the product itself.

This product is said to be waterproof and smudge-proof for at least 2 days. So is it?? Waterproof is a definite yes!! I've showered and been caught in the rain a number of times whilst wearing Wunderbrow and my brows have stayed put!! Wunderbrow will not rub off (unless with force) and hasn't transferred onto any clothing/bedding.I have had to redo the application after sleeping which is a bit of a downer. One of the main reasons I purchased this product was because I thought I'd only have to do my brows every other day.

Would I buy this product again? Probably not. It's pricey for what it is and a pain to apply without the right tools. If it lasted a couple of days as Wunderbrow claim, I would definitely be re-buying.
