I'm not a girl who has a skincare regime I'm sad to say it. I go through stages of my life where I keep up my skincare game religiously. This year I can count on one hand of fingers how often I've done the whole 'cleanse, tone, moisturise' malarkey.
Seeing as my skin has gone from a fairly good state to a dry, sore, horrific mess, I decided I needed to at least moisturise this season.
I went to Boots and Purchased L'Oréal's Hydra Genius Aloe Water. This beauty buy set me back a mere £9.99.
This product comes in 3 types; Normal to Dry Skin, Dry and Sensitive Skin and Normal to Combination Skin.
I picked up the Dry and Sensitive as my face and neck are seriously lacking moisture and there are a lot of products that my face doesn't agree with.
The bottle holds 70ml of product which is a great amount for the price. It has a 12 month life once opened which means it'll last me throughout these colder seasons and well into Spring.
The product comes in a pump bottle which I love. Nothing worse that scooping moisturiser out of a tub and having it stuck under your nails. The pump keeps the product sanitary and keeps it from creating a mess and waste.
Instructions for this product state that 1 pump is enough however I found that 2 does the job much better when applying to my whole face and neck area.
This particular moisturiser is slightly scented. If I had known this before purchasing, I probably would have given it a miss as fragrances irritate my sensitive skin. However I cant say I felt any discomfort whilst using this product.
The fragrance is fresh and clean; perfect for early morning applications making your skin feel awake and ready for the day and also perfect for evenings after removing the layer of makeup and feeling fresh and clean again.
If you're like me and hate thick cream textured moisturiser, this one is for you. Its more of a gel consistency and absorbs super quickly into your skin leaving no residue or oiliness. The gel like feel to this product means that it applies smoothly and evenly, giving a cooling sensation to the skin (which is lovely if your skin is sore or slightly inflamed).
I instantly felt that my skin felt smoother and more hydrated and within 3 days my dry patches had completely gone!!
This is a definite recommend. There's a type of this product for every skin type, its soft and gentle on the skin, its beautifully packaged, inexpensive and it works!!
I'll definitely be keeping up my moisturising game this year now that I have found something that suits my needs and works so well.
