Primark - Peach Makeup Palettes - Review

I've recently delved into Primark's beauty section to see what goodies I can find.

I picked up the Peachy palette collection a few weeks ago and here's what I think!!

The Primark website says these pallets are priced at £2.50 for the eyeshadow pallet and £3 for the highlight and blush palette however they were both priced at £4 each at my local Primark (still a bargain).

I'm guessing that this line of cosmetics was taken from the idea of the Too Faced "Sweet Peach" line.

The packages for these palettes both state that they're scented (much like Too Faced's) however they smell of absolutely nothing to me. Disappointing.
Both packages come with a magnetic closing function which I love, however I feel they could have made the lids slightly better with a mirror for on the go.

The Eye Shadow Palette is made up of 9x 1.5g individual shades of shadow, both matte and shimmery in a range of golden, peachy and pinky colours.
Unfortunately some of the colours are fairly clumpy which makes application uneven. I found that the product isn't very well pigmented which meant that a good primer and some building up was needed to create the desired effect.
I found that the lighter and glittery/shimmery shades were the least pigmented but the darker colours were much more vivid.

The Highlighter and Blush Palette is made up of 1 highlight and 2 blushes all of which are 3g of product.
Again, all 3 shades in this palette are slightly clumpy, especially when applied with a finger. I'd highly recommend a good highlight/blusher brush for a smoother application.
The highlighter (Peach Twist) is a gorgeous warm gold colour with a salmon peach/pink undertone. The pigmentation of the highlight is average but looks stunning when worn as a natural finish.
Peachin', the first of the 2 blushers is a deeper salmon pink colour, its pigmented and a little goes a long way. Sweet peach is the second shade of blusher in this palette; its a lighter more peachy pink, natural shade of blusher which again is well pigmented.

All shades in both of the palettes have good wear. You'll need a good primer to help stop the slight creasing with the shadows and the blush/highlight definitely lasts longer with a liquid base.

Overall, I'm not too disappointed in these palettes. For £8, I still got a lovely highlight for my more natural makeup days, 2 great blushers and a few eyeshadows that work well.
If you're looking for a palette that you can get the most out of, this one probably wont be for you.

I've heard great things about Primark's makeup range, however this one didn't quite impress me. Good reason to go and buy more makeup though!!
