You're probably all fed up of me mentioning this by now, but 2018 is my year to banish plastic from my household. In a bid to do this, I chose a few of Lush's Naked products to try out.
You can see my reviews for the other 2 Naked products I've picked up by clicking the links below:
Jungle - Solid Conditioner
The last Naked item I picked up (I promise its the last Lush product...at least for now) is the Jason And The Argan Oil Shampoo bar. This bar retails at £6.50 which like the other 2 items, I felt was just a tad too expensive for a measly 55g of product.
Scent first! Like many of Lush's other items, this one is floral scented with a hint of something citrus lying underneath. Its fresh and girly and leaves your hair smelling amazing!! The scents used are Rose, Sicilian Lemon and Geranium.
This Shampoo Bar is incredibly foamy!! I was surprised at just how many bubbles were created with a few circular motions of the shampoo bar on my hair as I expected a much more 'rubbish bar of soap bubble' like consistency from this product.
Because of the foaming, I was super surprised at how little of the product is used with each use. So that £6.50 seems a little more worth while now that I've tried it out.
My hair felt completely residue free after using this product to wash my hair. I always shampoo twice; once to remove physical dirt and twice to remove the deeper oils and nitty gritty bits.
I can safely say that despite me only washing my hair once a week (don't judge me!) this stuff is tougher on dirty hair than it looks!!
I was also fairly skeptical at how well the argan oil would work as I'm so used to using a dollop around half the size of this en entire bar on my hair to get the results I'm looking for. Again, I was taught a lesson in skepticism as my hair felt super soft, looked shiny, strong and healthy.
Like the 2 other Naked products I have tried, this Naked product self preserves extremely well. I expected the product to disintegrate within a short amount of time due to it being exposed to moisture. You get a whole lot of product on your hair and minimal waste goes down the drain.
I would definitely buy this product again and I'm excited to try out a few more of Lush's Shampoo Bars in the future. Out of the 3 items I tried out, this is the winner for me. Lush have got this one spot on.
